The $ 1,200 Galaxy S22 Ultra is one of the most expensive Android phones, but for good reason. It has a giant 6.8 inch display, an S Pen stylus that can be stored on the phone (just like the Galaxy Note) and a four-lens camera with a hard-to-beat zoom range. Samsung has also improved the way all new Galaxy phones take photos in low light, which is especially important for photo-oriented phones like the Ultra.

The only downsides? The amazing price of the S22 Ultra and relatively short battery life. Still, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is the best phone for people who want the largest screen and one of the best cameras available on a smartphone. You just have to be willing to pay a higher price for these benefits.

The $ 1,000 Galaxy S22 Plus has the right balance of camera size, performance, and performance for most people. The 6.6-inch screen offers plenty of room for those who prefer larger-sized phones, but feel the Ultra can be too overwhelming (and expensive). Upgrading to a 50-megapixel camera also makes a huge difference to last year’s Galaxy S21 lineup, especially when it comes to color and contrast in photos.

My biggest complaint is that the battery life was just average, although it did endure the usual Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Ultra during the topwatchbest battery test. It would also be nice to see the new features that take advantage of the S22’s improved camera, especially as the S22 Plus is more expensive than a few phones on this list. Still, the Galaxy S22 Plus has everything most people need in a new phone.

Google remained outside the flagship segment for several years and spent time building its own chip that specialized in machine learning and artificial intelligence. The Pixel 6 Pro incorporates it all with a tough photo skill.

The $ 899 high-end phone continues to undercut rivals in terms of price, while still carrying so much value. It is a large phone with a 6.7 inch screen that is razor sharp with a resolution of 3120×1440 pixels. It has an adaptive refresh rate that can go up to 120Hz when you play fast games, but also slows down to just 10Hz when the phone is basically idle. A 5.003mAh battery should last for a full day of mixed use.

The Pixel 6 by Google is the smartphone you can get if you want a big screen, flagship performance, some of the best cameras on the market, and a look that sets it apart from the competition. Google has extended three years of OS and security updates to five, so it will continue. In the US, Pixel 6 is available through both Google and all major operators.

Pixel 6 has a 6.4-inch 1080p screen. It can be set to automatically switch from 60 Hz to 90 Hz depending on the content on the screen. However, the fingerprint sensor is slower. It comes with two rear cameras: a main camera with a wide angle lens and a second camera with an ultra wide angle lens.

If you’ve got $ 599 and you’re looking for a new phone, the Pixel 6 is our recommendation.

Finding a smaller Android phone is no easy task these days. Most phones have screens that are at least 6.4 inches or larger, so people who prefer small phones have few options. The $ 800 Galaxy S22 checks that box. It has everything we loved about the Galaxy S22 Plus – eye-catching design, an excellent camera system with a 50-megapixel main lens and a sharp screen – but in a pocket-friendly size.

Still, the Galaxy S22 doesn’t do in the same area as its more expensive sibling: battery life. I managed to get through the day with the S22 refresh rate set to adaptive, which cranks it up to 120Hz for smoother scrolling, but only with difficulty. That said, the S22’s battery life might be enough for some people, especially those who spend most of their day at home or in the office with a charger nearby. The Galaxy S22 is a good choice for any Android user, but especially for those looking for a smaller phone.

While the next-gen Pixel 6 is out now, if you want 5G cheap, the Pixel 5A 5G is still a good choice. This Pixel phone has good battery life and great rear cameras, and at $ 449, it’s one of the best and cheapest ways to get 5G.

Although OnePlus is not as famous as Apple or Samsung, OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro offer premium experience for relatively more decent price than their rivals. Both phones support 5G, support wireless charging, have the most powerful Qualcomm processor, and have multi-lens cameras. The OnePlus 9 is our favorite of the two, with all the features we love about the series, but at a more affordable price and with better battery life. It’s a solid option if the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s high price tag is out of your reach.

Folding phones haven’t really made their way into the mainstream, remaining only within the reach of those looking to spend the highest amount of money on the latest mobile innovations. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the best foldable phone that offers top performance, great camera setup and lots of tweaks in folding technology that make this Android smartphone more coveted than its predecessor.
