GoPro released the aerial cinematography camera just weeks after its introduction the new Hero 10 Black Camera Kit for Creators. Featuring the inside of the original Hero 10 camera, the Hero 10 Black Bones streamlined design allows it to be mounted on an FPV drone.

Until now, FPV pilots had to take the GoPro apart or other action cameras to reduce weight to reduce the impact on the drone’s performance and battery life when connected. Also, the smaller and lighter the camera, the smaller the drone can be. The Hero 10 Black Bones are only 54 grams (1.9 oz) which, while not as light as the fully nude GoPro, are light enough to be mounted on 3 inch cine-hoop FPV drone such as Diatone Taycan.

The camera components are housed in a well-ventilated case, which means it will stay cool while also being better protected than a GoPro without its original waterproof case. And just like the regular Hero 10 Black, the Bones has a removable lens hood that can also be swapped out with third-party ND filters.

The only controls on the camera are the two buttons on the back. However, it can be controlled using the Quik mobile app, GoPro Labs QR controlGoPro wireless remote and even a drone transmitter.
