Samsung is giving first-time users a first look at the next operating system update in beta One UI 5.0, but it’s reportedly only available in Germany.
Moreover, only the owners Samsung Galaxy S22 series released earlier this year could access the One UI 5.0 beta, as reported by SamMobile, making it difficult for owners of older Samsung phones.
One UI 5.0 introduces new features that will be coming to Android 13 later this year. The beta version will eventually be available to users in China, India, Poland, Republic of Korea, UK, and US, as per official website. It is not clear when the beta will extend to these countries, though it may be in the days to come as predicted by 9to5Google. It is also unknown whether other Samsung phones will be included in the beta.
Interested users can generally sign up for the beta program on the Samsung Members app available on the Google Play Store and Galaxy Store – after signing up, they will be able to download the free beta update using the usual operating system method (Settings> Software Update> Download and Install).
Samsung did not respond to a request for comment at the time of publication.
