The most exciting Samsung gadgets we want in 2022 and beyond

With the launch Galaxy S22 line, New Galaxy A series phones and pillsit’s been a busy year for Samsung. But the company isn’t over yet. He holds another Unpacked event August 10where they reportedly release new folded phones and more.

I hope Samsung will not stop there. With such a wide range, Samsung has plenty of opportunities to update and improve lesser-known products – such as the Galaxy “Fan Edition” phones. I also hope to get a clue as to where Samsung plans to move its foldable products beyond the Z Flip and Z Fold.

Here’s a look at other Samsung products that I hope to see in 2022 and beyond.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5

The Galaxy watch 4, which debuted last August, marked an important milestone for Samsung’s smartwatches. It is the first model to come with the new version of Google Wear OS software, which was developed in cooperation with Samsung. Some of the benefits of this partnership are already evident on the Galaxy Watch 4, notably its compatibility with the wide range of apps available on the Google Play Store.

But we were hoping to see more Google-inspired features, as my colleague Scott Stein wrote in his Galaxy Watch 4 review. For example, the Galaxy Watch 4 didn’t even come with the Google Assistant at startup, although that has changed. Hopefully the next model will keep the features we already love – such as a wide range of health tracking features and a brilliant display – while enriching the software with more Google experience. It would also be great to see the longer battery life given that the Galaxy Watch 4 only lasted one to two days during topwatchbest’s testing.

As for what we expect to see on the Galaxy Watch 5, the addition of a temperature sensor is expected to be the biggest addition, according to the Korean tech side ETNews. They also indicate reports from the Sam Mobile blog larger battery may be in the store as well new “Pro” model which would replace the current Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.

The new Samsung Galaxy Buds

Samsung has released new earbuds in August for the past two years, so chances are it will do the same in 2022. The question, however, is whether the company can release a new version of the high-end Galaxy Buds Prostandard Galactic Buds 2 or bean-shaped Galaxy Buds Live.

Regardless of the model, a new pair of earbuds may be in preparation, according to Galaxy Club. A Dutch blog speculated in December that a last entry for battery Korean product safety certification website may include a charging case for a new pair of Samsung headphones.

We won’t know for sure until Samsung announces. But if Samsung introduces a new version of the Galaxy Buds Pro, we would like to see a design with a tighter fit for better noise cancellation.

Products like Samsung’s Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Watch are becoming an increasingly important part of the smartphone experience, which leads me to believe that Samsung will be releasing new earbuds on a regular basis. The attractiveness of the device is not only the phone itself, but also how well it works with other products that we often use in conjunction with our phones – such as headphones, fitness monitors, and smartwatches.

This is a strategy that has worked for Apple to become a leading player in the wearable market thanks to Apple Watch and AirPods. I’m sure Samsung will continue to compete in this regard.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4

Samsung Galaxy Z Flap 3 it is the most practical foldable phone available today. But when compared to Samsung Galaxy non-foldable phones, it does come with some important trade-offs, especially when it comes to camera and battery life.

If Samsung sticks to the current pattern, we may see another Z Flip 4 in August that will hopefully address these shortcomings. Rumors from the well-known Twitter leakage Ice Universe suggest that Samsung’s next flip phone will have narrower hinge and Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor while a report from a Korean news site Elec says it may have a slightly larger cover screen.

Such a change would make it even easier to see notifications without opening the device, which was one of the biggest drawbacks of the original Z Flip. Samsung has fixed this on the Z Flip 3 by quadrupling the cover screen. However, increasing the display can significantly increase the usability of the front Z Flip display for reading notifications. I also hope Samsung will continue to add new software features that take advantage of the Flip Folding Screen, such as Flexible mode.

AND Samsung Patent covered by the tech blog Lets go digital Showing a device that looks like a Z Flip but with a rotating camera positioned inside the hinge has also sparked some speculation. But such a move seems a long way off, especially as Samsung’s design changes to the Z Flip have been largely incremental so far.

Samsung launched the original Galaxy Z Flip in February 2020 while 5G version it came just a few months later in August. It also Galaxy Z Flip 3 announced in August 2021 Samsung’s times have varied, but the fact that it has already launched three versions of this phone in two years makes me believe it could be a regular part of Samsung’s annual update cycle.

Assembling the Galaxy Z 3

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

While the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is intended for people who want their phone to be more compact, the Galaxy Z Fold takes the opposite approach. Open it and inside you’ll find a tablet-sized display with a screen size of 7.6 inches. The Assembling the Galaxy Z 3 is the third iteration of Samsung’s large-format foldable phone, and by far the most polished.

But it’s still inconvenient to use it as a regular phone when it’s locked, which remains its biggest drawback. Samsung has already tried to fix this by making the Z Fold 3 thinner and lighter than the Z Fold 2, and hopefully it will continue in that direction.

Based on the improvements between the 2nd and 3rd generation Z Fold, I expect there will be a new processor in the next version, some design improvements and hopefully a longer battery life. It would also be great to see software improvements that make better use of this large internal screen.

Rumors suggest that at least some of these wishlist items may be on the cards of another Samsung foldable big screen. Leaker Ice Universe claims to have published the list specs of Z Fold 4 on Twitter. According to the specifications disclosed, the Z Fold 4 could have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, the same screen size as the Z Fold 3 inside and out, a triple camera system with a 50-megapixel main lens like the Galaxy S22, and the same battery capacity 4400 mAh.

Samsung has released the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Assembling the Galaxy Z 2 in August 2021 and 2020 respectively, while the first Galaxy Z Fold was released in September 2019. With that in mind, it seems likely that we will see another Z Fold at the Samsung Unpacked event on August 10.

A new type of foldable Samsung

Foldable phones like the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip are still relatively new to most people. But Samsung is already thinking about what may come next, as the company has proved, among others WPG 2022 when he showed a few new foldable concepts. If the last the leaks are realone of these gadgets may soon become more than just a concept.

In what appears to be a deleted tweet since then, Ice Universe previously it was said that Samsung is planning to launch a “mystery” third folding device this year. But Ross Young, analyst and CEO of Supply Chain Consultants, I replied that could be postponed until 2023.

Of the concepts recently introduced by Samsung, I like the Flex S the most. This concept folds like an accordion and has two hinges, giving the impression of a combination of three display panels. When fully folded, it can be used as a regular phone, but unfolds to become a tablet-sized display that looks larger than the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

When it comes to folding, I usually prefer devices that offer more screen space – such as the Galaxy Z Fold 3 – to flip-phone devices. Regular phones are already compact enough so I see more value in owning a phone that can provide more screen space to read and watch videos when I need it. The Flex S concept with CES 2022 seems to be the evolution of the Galaxy Z Fold in this respect.

Only Samsung knows what’s next. But considering the competition like TCL are also publicly experimenting with new folding designs, it would be no surprise if another Samsung idea came up in the near future. In addition to being competitive, market research shows that sale folding are starting to accelerate, giving Samsung more incentive to remain a forerunner in this field.

Samsung Galaxy S22 FE

Samsung “Fan Edition” smartphones are a cheaper alternative to devices from the Galaxy S series. The Galaxy S20 FE launched in 2020 as a cheaper version Galaxy S20but the Galaxy S21 FE only appeared in early 2022 – just before the debut of the Galaxy S22.

This makes it hard to know when Samsung could release the Galaxy S22 FE, if it does. Rumor from the blog Sam Mobile indicates Samsung may have scrapped the Galaxy S22 FE. By doing so would be a smart move for Samsung mainly because the Galaxy S21 FE felt lost in the company’s lineup between the Galaxy S22 and the budget-friendly Galaxy A series.

That said, I think Samsung has a chance to release a phone that is a step up from the $ 450 Galaxy A53 but it’s not as expensive as its next flagship Galaxy S. The Galaxy S22 FE priced at $ 600 with a slightly larger screen and longer battery life than the Galaxy S22 could be a really attractive option. In my opinion, the problem with the $ 700 Galaxy S21 FE was that the price difference between the FE and the S22 might not have been big enough to stand out.

Samsung may be best known for its Galaxy smartphones when it comes to mobile devices. But products like the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Buds prove that the company is also focusing more on smartphone-adjacent devices. As for what’s next after smartwatches and earbuds, only Samsung can answer this question. But I still hope to see pair of smart glasses one day.
